About FreeOGImage
FreeOGImage is a free Open Graph image generator that runs entirely in your browser. It exists because making a decent social share image shouldn't require a subscription, a watermark, an account, or handing your content to someone else's server. Who builds it
FreeOGImage is built and maintained by Noah Sean, an independent developer. It's not a venture-backed startup or a faceless content farm — it's one person who got tired of broken link previews and paywalled design tools, and decided to ship a fast, private alternative. The guides on the blog are written from hands-on experience debugging Open Graph tags and unfurls across Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, and iMessage. If something on the site is wrong or could be clearer, tell us — corrections ship quickly.
Genuinely free — and how that's funded
There is no paywall, no credit system, and no “export costs an upgrade.” Every template, every platform size, and every export is free, with no watermark. The site stays free because it's supported by Google AdSense — unobtrusive display ads placed around the content, never over the editor canvas. That's the entire business model: ads keep the tool free so you never have to pay or sign up. Google may use cookies to show those ads; you can control that in Google's Ads Settings, and our privacy policy explains exactly what is and isn't collected.
Private by architecture
Privacy here isn't a setting you toggle — it's the architecture. There is no backend that touches your content. Your text and images are processed on your device and saved only to your browser's local storage. Nothing you create is uploaded, because there's simply no server to upload it to. We don't run product analytics and we don't have accounts, so there's no profile of you to build. The one small server piece — an optional image-render and link-preview helper — is stateless and stores and logs nothing.

The library spans 200+ layouts across developer, editorial, product, social, gaming, food, travel, finance, and more — each with named presets and deep controls over backgrounds, gradients, typography, logos, and effects, so your card looks intentional in seconds. Editorial standards
The blog isn't filler. Every guide is written and reviewed by a human, tested against how the platforms actually behave, and dated so you can see when it was last updated.
